The Scheme promotes responsible dog ownership by teaching owners to train their dogs for everyday life situations.

A Friendly Club with A Lot to Offer!
The Trent Valley Dog Training Club is based at the Newark Pavilion at the Newark Showground, where we mainly train in obedience.
Many other disciplines are taught at the club, but the foundation of all our activities is Basic Obedience.
The success of the club is due greatly to the Handlers and Trainers, working patiently and sympathetically, within a structured environment, with their Canine Partners.
The aim of the club is to run in accordance with the ideals of the Kennel Club, and it was to this end that the first Good Citizen Dog Training Course was implemented in 2009. Several members have already passed their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, and members with puppies have completed their Puppy Foundation Courses.
We also run classes for Agility, Hoopers, Flyball and Scent-Work, also on Mondays we hold a Ring-Craft class for those members wishing to show their dogs.
All dogs are welcome. Young puppies come to socialise before progressing through the classes to advanced work.
Subscriptions are due at the beginning of each year. One year’s single membership is £25.
Junior and Non-Training Memberships are £5.
Ringcraft Membership is £25 p.a. and £5 training fee, plus £1 for each extra dog.
Obedience, Agility, Fly-ball £25 p.a. PLUS £5 per training session
